Qualifications:
Any player who is not listed as a fully exempt member of the 2006 PGA TOUR, Nationwide Tour, European Tour, European Challenge Tour and/or the Champions Tour. Membership is open to golf professionals.  Players who are interested in joining the tour must complete and submit the registration form with a deposit of $500.  Upon being accepted players must comply with the payment schedule laid out below.

Membership:
Tour membership is limited to 120 paid, registered professionals (per event). The NEPGT Tour Committee then reserves the right to add 4 more paid players to the field for a total of 124 paid, registered professionals per event. 

All members, full and half, will receive the following:

  • NEPGT membership photo identification card

  • Money Clip 

  • NEPGT polo style shirt

Full Members Only (must register for full season prior to season start)

  • Season ending $4,500 Q-School Bonus

Half Season Member

  • Half season members may pick six events of the 11 regular season events (excluding the Blackstone Open)  from the 2006 schedule.   

  • You will not need a partner to split events

  • Events will be closed when a field of 120 paid players is reached.

  • The cut is 40% of the field plus ties

  • All players making the cut will receive a check

  • Player Of the year receives $4,500 for 2006 PGA Tour Q-School Tuition

Payment Schedule is as follows:

  • A minimum deposit of $500 is required to reserve a playing position. 

  • The balance of $11,550 (full time players) is due no later than March 15, 2006 to secure your position. 

  • The balance of $6,150 (half spot players) is due no later than March 15, 2006 to secure your position. 

  • Penalty for withdrawal after March 15, 2005 is $1,000 plus the $500 deposit for a total of $1,500.

  • Penalty for withdrawal after May 15 is $2,000 plus the $500 deposit for a total of $2,500.

  • After June 1st players may no longer withdraw and must sell events.

Selling Spots:                                                                                                                                                    A Tour member may sell their spot for all events other than the Blackstone Open. A waiting list will be set up by the Tour where members may find a substitute player. Purchasing players must qualify under the guidelines set forth by the NEPGT. A Substitute Player Registration Form must be completed and faxed to the NEPGT office with signatures of both parties involved a minimum of four business days prior to event

Buying Spots:                                                                                                                                                    A non-member may buy up to two spots maximum. The player must qualify under the guidelines set forth by the NEPGT.  A non-member may purchase spots from the NEPGT if any event is not yet full for $1,050.  A  Registration Form must be completed and faxed to the NEPGT office. As an additional provision, a non-member may be invited to a third and final event for a cost of $1,050. The NEPGT Tour Committee may invite up to a maximum of 6 additional players per event. 

Tour Qualifying Provision:
Any 2006 CGT Member earning full-time playing privileges on either the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, European Tour, European Challenge Tour will have all deposits and monies refunded. Any 2006 CGT Member earning a qualifying spot in any individual PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour or Champions Tour event will have their entry fee reimbursed for the NEPGT event missed. The player must notify the NEPGT Tour Office immediately upon qualifying. The PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour or Champions Tour event must directly conflict with the NEPGT scheduled event; otherwise a refund will not be given.

Members with conditional or non-exempt status on any of the NEPGT's recognized tours (listed in paragraph one) will not be given a refund for events entered in any way other than a PGA Tour sanctioned Monday Qualifier. 

Tournament Format:

  • 54-hole stroke play. Low 40% and ties make the cut after 36 holes for the final round. 

  • All players making the cut will receive a check! 

  • Play will be in threesomes in the first two rounds and twosomes in the final round.

  • One practice round is included in your entry fee. 

  • Range balls prior to the tournament rounds are included in your entry fee. 

  • Players will not be permitted to ride or sit in motorized carts during tournament rounds.

  • Practice rounds are to be arranged by the player and are subject to course availability and are the sole responsibility of the player to coordinate.

  • 86 Rule will be in effect. Any player shooting 86 or higher in the first round will be removed from field

  • The NEPGT reserves the right to grant three sponsors exemptions per event. 

  • The NEPGT reserves the right to grant up to six paid invitations per event.

Players Board:

  • An advisory panel of five players will represent the Tour members and will assist in the formation and interpretation of tour policies. 

  • Five players will be appointed by the NEPGT Tour Committee. 

  • A NEPGT policy book will be available for players to read at each venue. 

  • It is the responsibility of each NEPGT member to become familiar with each of the Tour’s policies. 

  • All NEPGT policies are the responsibility of the individual Tour member to become familiar with prior to the start of the season.

Rules of Play:

  • USGA Rules govern all play. 

  • There will be no less than 3 officials monitoring play during tournaments. Rules modified on the local rules sheet or on the Tour’s Official Local Rules Card will apply.

  • Proper golf attire is required when attending the host venue. Shorts & sandals are not permitted at any time. 

  • The highest standard of golf etiquette is expected by the staff, players and host club. 

  • Warnings, penalties and/or fines will be issued to any player whose conduct is deemed unbecoming. For a complete policy on Code of Conduct, please consult the NEPGT Policy Book. Conduct deemed as unbecoming to a golf professional will have appropriate action taken against the player involved by the Committee and the Players Board in the form of fines and or suspension. 

  • Pace of play guidelines, as set forth in the Policy Book, will be strictly enforced by the roving officials.

  • The New England Pro Golf Tour reserves the right to refuse any application for any reason, at any time. Admission to the New England Pro Golf Tour will be subject of the player’s application in writing by the New England Pro Golf Tour in its sole discretion, and that the New England Pro Golf Tour reserves the right to terminate any player’s playing privileges and may or may not return the unused fees submitted by the player without further obligation at any time.
