Geoff’s Goodies
· For the week, Geoff Sisk played the back nine in a collective
9-under par, including five birdies, two eagles and no bogeys.
· Sisk’s 196 total was not only good enough for a six stroke
victory but it also established the lowest 54 hole total this
season, surpassing Shannon Sykora’s 198 total in the
Passaconaway Open.
· Sisk eagled the par 4, 17th hole during the first round.
Canadian Tour Connection
· Canadian Tour members Rob Oppenheim, Tele Wightman and Scott
Hawley all registered top 10 finishes this week, paced by
Oppenheim’s solo 3rd finish. With only one event remaining on
the Canadian Tour schedule, the trio is scheduled to appear in
the final three Cleveland stops of the season.
Miscellaneous Madness
· Last year, Sean O’Hair earned just over $21,000. Through just
seven events this season, he has already doubled last year’s
total, racking in over $42,000.
· Shannon Sykora and Scott Hawley, both of whom shot opening
7-under par 63’s, combined to post a best ball score of 12-under
par 58 during the first round.
· Shannon Sykora was 6-under par through 5 holes on the back
nine during Wednesday’s first round.
· For the second consecutive tournament, the 30 barrier was
broken. Last week, Sean O’Hair came home in 6-under par 29 to
force a playoff with Shannon Sykora, who carded a 6-under par 29
in the first round this week.
· Dating back to the 2002 season, Eric Egloff has made 24 of 26
cuts on the Cleveland Golf Tour.

Streakers!
· Dating back to his victory in last month’s Cranston Open,
Corey Harris has now fired nine consecutive rounds of par or
better. His average score during the streak has been 69.44
· Speaking of streaks, Sean O’Hair is also in the midst of a
pretty impressive season long run. Dating back to the season
opening Atkinson Open, O’Hair has kept it at par or better in 19
of 21 rounds, highlighted by 13 rounds in the 60’s.
Stat of the week
· Johnny Bloomfield, who finished tied for11th, played The
Nevele’s front and back nine’s in polar opposite fashion for the
entire week. His collective score on the front side was an
abysmal 7-over par. Contrarily, Bloomfield tore apart the back
nine each day, never coming home in worse than 33 strokes,
highlighted by a 5-under par 30 in Thursday’s second round.
Final word
· “I’m feeling like a golfer now. I feel like a low round is
just around the corner. It’s just a question of keeping it
going,”-Jason Trahan, commenting on the progress he has made
throughout the course of the season. After missing the first
five cuts of the year, Trahan, who still teaches at the Roland
Stafford Golf School in Windham, NY, has tied for 23rd and 21st
in his last two events.
